New Delhi: Mahindra is roaring at the success of its latest production SUV, XUV-500. The car proved to be an eye-candy for those seeking to buy a Sports Utility Vehicle.
Mahindra witnessed 7000 bookings in the first week itself, forcing the company to close the booking since it had sold out four months production. On considering the rise in demand, it (Mahindra) has decided to level up the production in Chakan.
Company also confirmed the fact that the XUV is yet to go global as the demand from the local market is so much that they are not able to meet the need, let alone the international market.
Also, it claimed that January might also witness a similar response from the buyer as they will be interested to purchase them before the taxes of diesel cars increases in the forthcoming budget.
