Heavy D Died From A Pulmonary Embolism || Heavy D Cause Of Death: Pulmonary Embolism !!!!!!!

UPDATE-Rapper Heavy Ddied from a pulmonary embolism according to the Los Angeles Coroner’s office.
Heavy D, real name Dwight Arrington Myers, died on November 8th, 2011. The rapper had reportedly returned from a shopping trip and collapsed while walking up a flight of stairs to his home. Heavy D’s death was previously believed to have been caused by complications from Pneumonia after he fell ill from a trip to Cardiff, Wales to perform at the Micheal Jackson tribute concert and complained of a flu-like symptons. But Craig Harvey of Los Angeles County Coroner’s officer confirmed otherwise, via LA Times.

“He was treating himself with cough syrup. But it was not contributory [to his death].”
According to today’s report, Heavy D died from a pulmonary embolism caused by deep leg vein thrombosis. The blood clot formed in Heavy D’s lungs was “most likely formed during an extended airplane ride,” according to Harvey.
A pulmonary embolism is most often caused by a blood clot in a vein, especially a vein in the leg or in the pelvis. The most common cause is a blood clot in one of the deep veins of the thighs. This type of clot is called a deep vein thrombosis, this according to MedlinePlus. Heavy D’s long travel to Wales just days prior may have caused the blood clot. Heavy D’s heart disease may have also been a contributing factor to his death now classified as ‘natural’.
Heavy D still remains a bright memory to many who knew him personally and for those who loved his music. RIP
