AT&T Launching New 3G Samsung Phones

AT&T has announced it will be offering the Samsung clamshell SHG-A717 and candybar SGH-A727, bringing 3G multimedia capabilities at budget-bearable prices.

AT&T is rapidly ramping up for the launch of the Apple iPhone, but the company realizes that not everyone may be willing to spend upwards of $500 for a sleek phone/Internet appliance/iPod from Apple: there will still be a sizable market of folks who want some 3G mobile and multimedia capacity but could do without the bells and whistles…and high prices.

To that end, AT&T has announced it will be offering Samsung’s clamshell Samsung SGH-A717 and candybar SHG-A727 phones, promising powerful multimedia capabilities in a slim package. The quad-band GSM phones offer Bluetooth 2.0, microSD storage, SMS and MMS messaging, and can tap into AT&T’s MobiTV and MobiRadio streaming media services over the company’s 3G mobile network. The a717 sports a 2 megapixel camera, while the a727 offers a 1.3 megapixel shooter. Both phones will also support AT&T’s Video Share service, due to launch in the next few months, which enables users to add a one-way video stream to an outgoing voice call: if you’re calling a 3G-enabled mobile customer on a Video Share-enabled phone, they’ll hear your voice and see what you’re doing. LG Launches GM Series 3 Music Mobiles in India

Music mobile phones seem to becoming hot. After Nokia's XpressMusic phone series, SamsungBeat and Sony Ericsson Walkman mobile phones, LG too has launched an array of music mobile phones.

The consumer electronics giant LG Electronics has launched a series of music phones in India. The three new LG music mobile phones: LG GM 310M, LG GM210 and the LG GM205, are aimed at the mid-segment.

As for specs, LG GM310 is a slider mobile fitted with 2.2-inch TFT LCD display with a 240x320 pixel resolution. The phone's connectivity options include EDGE/GPRS and HSDPA support. Other features in this latest LG mobile include 512MB or 1GB of internal memory and a MicroSD card (up to 32GB), a 3.5mm earphone socket, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and a 3 megapixel auto focus camera.

Solar-Powered Cellphone With Pristine Finish

An elegant solar powered cell phone was unveiled at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this week naming as ‘Apollo’. It has Designed by Chinese cell phone manufacturer Umeox, this phone with a solar panel incorporated on its back side, is already being touted to be the world’s first Android-powered, mass produced, solar-powered cell phone.


The Apollo features a 3.2″ 320×480 display, 1GB of storage, a microSD card slot, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, a 3 megapixel rear camera and a 3.5mm audio jack. While the Apollo is the first solar-powered cellphone unveiled at MWC 2011.

Nokia X7 Leaks Revealed Full Specifications

The rumors are getting everywhere on the internet after the CES about the upcoming devices. Nokia also get into the news with leaks of its new Symbian^3 OS device X7. There have been some leaks already popped out of the internet rumor mill about the Nokia X7. But the new leaks revealed full specifications as well as some new photos of the phone.

The contemporary design phone is looking very stylish and well-equipped with processing power. There is a 680 MHz ARM11 processor with the 3D Graphics Hardware Accelerator. With the new improved hardware acceleration, Nokia is hopeful for the best 3D experience with this device. One thing is pertinent to mention that the photos that are shown in the leaks indicate an AT&T mark at the top. This may be a carrier limitation to AT&T for the X7.

  10. Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc (AT&T?)

Sony Ericsson’s big comeback could come from this Android 2.3 "Gingerbread" phone with a razor-sharp screen, spectacular camera, and the ability to be manipulated by your TV’s remote control. While the company told us it wants to sell this phone here in the U.S, we’ve put it in last place on this list because Sony Ericsson has a lousy track record of getting its phones picked up by U.S. carriers. If it does appear, the Xperia Arc will most likely show up on AT&T.

Also notable: Sony Ericsson is expected to debut a "PlayStation phone" next month, though we don’t know whether that’s ever coming to the U.S. We should know more when MWC commences on Feb. 13.

You must have seen Palm using Touchstone charging dock many times for wireless charging, and it is normal. But think of HTC EVO 4G to work with it!

The developer has assured to share the step by step instructions on how force EVO 4G to get charged using Palm touchstone. And you never know, the hack might come handy anytime.
However, there are some disadvantages as well. According to the hacker –
* The 4 magnets around the coil render any compass apps completely useless.
* The battery cover sticks up a little but as you saw in the YouTube video it’s barely noticeable
