Samsung sells Wi-Fi-only Galaxy Tab 7.0 for $349.99 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Samsung has begun selling a Wi-Fi only version of its Galaxy Tab 7.0 for $349.99 in preparation for its upcoming tablet launches.

On April 10, Samsung released a new Wi-Fi only version of its Galaxy Tab 7.0 touch tablet. This marks the first release of the Galaxy Tab that isn’t tied to a specific carrier. Samsung’s original tablet runs on Android 2.1, has a 3MP rear camera, a front-facing camera, and can access the Android Market.

New Intel Atom processor review !!!!!!!!!!

Ever notice that the chips driving tablets are made by the likes of Apple, Samsung, Nvidia, and Qualcomm? Intel wants to change that.

As tablets are moving into a central role in technology users’ everyday personal and professional lives, it’s no surprise that almost every technology company on the planet wants to have a strong presence in the tablet market. However, chipmaking giant Intel has largely been left out of the revolution: while its processors power the vast majority of notebook, netbook, desktop, and server systems on the market, tablets are dominated by ARM-based processors from the likes of Samsung, Qualcomm, Nvidia, and (of course) Apple. Intel is looking to change that, however, with its new Atom Z670 “Oak Trail” processors, which can power 1080p viedeo playback and offer longer life than previous Atom offerings—and Intel says it offers more operating system flexibility than anything else on the market.

“The new Intel Atom ‘Oak Trail’ platform, with ‘Cedar Trail’ to follow, are examples of our continued commitment to bring amazing personal and mobile experiences to netbook and tablet devices, delivering architectural enhancements for longer battery life and greater performance,” said Intel’s netbook and tablet VP and general manager Doug Davis, in a statement. “We are accelerating the Intel Atom product line to now move faster than Moore’s law, bringing new products to market on three process technologies in the next 3 years.”

Intel says the Atom Z670 can handle 1080p video output over HDMI, along with Adobe Flash so users can tap into rich online content and gaming, all without sacrificing battery life compared to earlier offerings. The Atom 670 features integrated graphics and a die size 60 percent smaller than its predecessors, reducing power and heat dissipation requirements. Intel also touts the processors as offering manufacturers more flexibility than any other tablet processor, with support for Android, MeeGo, and even Windows operating systems, and the systems sport an Enhanced Deep Sleep mode for improved power savings during inactivity.

AT&T Launching New 3G Samsung Phones

AT&T has announced it will be offering the Samsung clamshell SHG-A717 and candybar SGH-A727, bringing 3G multimedia capabilities at budget-bearable prices.

AT&T is rapidly ramping up for the launch of the Apple iPhone, but the company realizes that not everyone may be willing to spend upwards of $500 for a sleek phone/Internet appliance/iPod from Apple: there will still be a sizable market of folks who want some 3G mobile and multimedia capacity but could do without the bells and whistles…and high prices.

To that end, AT&T has announced it will be offering Samsung’s clamshell Samsung SGH-A717 and candybar SHG-A727 phones, promising powerful multimedia capabilities in a slim package. The quad-band GSM phones offer Bluetooth 2.0, microSD storage, SMS and MMS messaging, and can tap into AT&T’s MobiTV and MobiRadio streaming media services over the company’s 3G mobile network. The a717 sports a 2 megapixel camera, while the a727 offers a 1.3 megapixel shooter. Both phones will also support AT&T’s Video Share service, due to launch in the next few months, which enables users to add a one-way video stream to an outgoing voice call: if you’re calling a 3G-enabled mobile customer on a Video Share-enabled phone, they’ll hear your voice and see what you’re doing. (Or maybe just get am extreme close-up of your ear.)

Poor Samsung, the maker of the Android-based Galaxy Tab, has decided to reconsider its tablet's pricing, and, according to Executive VP Lee Don-Joo, "improve the parts that are inadequate." He didn't say what that meant, but, if Samsung wants to compete in the tablet game, itbetter start rhyming with winning.

Samsung, Hyundai Motor review on joint development of "smart car"

SEOUL, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- The world's second-largest mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics and South Korea's top automaker Hyundai Motor are considering a joint development of smart car.

Hyundai Motor is examining with whom it will develop a smart car that enables automatic connection between the vehicle's tablet computer and smartphones, an official at the company told Xinhua on Tuesday.

The automaker is negotiating with several IT companies, and Samsung is one of the potential partners, he said.

Samsung also confirmed it is considering a partnership with Hyundai Motor to develop a smart car, an official at the company said by phone.

Samsung Android Froyo Galaxy Player against Apple iPod touch

Rumor mill doesn’t seems to stop, as CES 2011 is just around the corner and yet another rumor popped up today. This time rumors are suggesting that Samsung is working these days to take on Apple’s iPod touchwith its upcoming Android based Samsung Galaxy Player. According to the source, Samsung Galaxy Playerhas already been announced by Samsung as bearing a model number YP-GB1. The Samsung Galaxy Playeris supposed to bring Samsung Galaxy S experience to the device but just without calling functionality.

Furthermore the device is said to be packed with Android 2.2 FroYo operating system and a 1GHz processorjust as Samsung Galaxy S. Other features are going to be same as well, you can check out its full specifications below. Anyhow it is also expected that Samsung will also announce two more of these AndroidPMPs, bearing model no YP-G50 and YP-GB70 in CES 2011. Samsung launches D8000 series of Plasma 3D HD TV

Samsung has launched a new series of 3D HD Plasma TV named UND8000 in the Consumer Electronics Show 2011. The new D8000 series comes in 43 inch, 51 inch, 59 inch and 64 inch models and are designed to deliver best viewing experience in 2D and 3D. The D8000 series features a dark metallic bezel mixed withSamsung’s ToC border, same as Samsung’s last year’s C9000 series but the only thing that is different it is that now Samsung has made it much thinner. The new D8000 plasma series also features a Samsung’s hyper real engine and uses Real Black Filter technology to provide sharper images.

The new 3D HD TV’s will also be incorporated with Samsung’s own Crystal Full HD engine with Cinema Smooth technology and will also be attuned with Samsung’s 3D active glasses and multi-display Touch Control.
