Gartner: Windows Phone 7 will overtake iOS by 2015 !!!!!!!!

Gartner says that Windows Phone 7 will climb the ranks, and quickly - by 2015, it will be second only to Android.
windows phone 7
Android’s getting a lot of attention for being forecast as becoming the OS for over half of all smartphones by 2012, but the real story in the report is thatGartner thinks Windows Windows Phone 7 will overtake iOS by 2015 and claim the number two spot.
Despite the skeptical reception the Nokia-Microsoft merger received, its long-term payoff will help drive Windows Phone 7 to a 19.5-percent market share come 2015. Speculation from the report also hints that Apple won’t be so concerned with holding market share, instead preferring to maintain its own profit margins.

Apple MacBook Pro 17-inch (2011 version): Video review !!!!!!!!!!!

Apple’s latest version of the 17-inch MacBook Pro packs more power while simultaneously extending battery life, making a winning, if expensive, desktop replacement.
Apple’s legendary unibody metal design remains intact on the 2011 version of the 17-inch MacBook Pro, but the hardware inside has changed. The largest notebook in Apple’s MacBook Pro line now sports a 2.2GHz second-generation Intel Core i7 processor and AMD’s brawny Radeon HD 6750M graphics processor with 1GB of GDDR5 RAM. The net result: It’s fast, both around the desktop and in games, which it handles with surprising authority. Meanwhile, a high-capacity lithium polymer battery now delivers up to seven hours of battery life, making it one of the longest-running desktop replacements available, and Intel’s new Thunderbolt port allows for ultra-fast connections with accessories. Hear all about the latest changes in our MacBook Pro video review.

LG 3D Tablet Release !!!!!!!!!!

Here is some great news surrounding LG’s new Optimus Pad (which has not been launched globally yet), according to an LG Senior Executive, India could be receiving the 3D tablet in June.
The Optimus Pad is believed to be priced around the Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000 mark. However, LG Electronics business head for mobile communications, Vishal Chopra, has indicated that dependant on import duties and currency valuations the price could be less than Rs 30,000 at time of launch and that around the end of May, he will be in a better position to clarify the price.
Please note that because of price sensitivity in India the iPad has dropped in price from around Rs 28,000 in January to Rs 27,390 in April and Samsung had to bring the price of their Galaxy Tab down to Rs 29,299 from Rs 38,000. Therefore, this could have a bearing on Optimus Pad’s price when it is released in India.

iOS 5 review!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rumors suggest that Apple will hold iOS 5 back for a fall launch, with an official reveal coming at June's WWDC along with the first details of the company's plans for cloud-based services for its devices.
Apple iOS
We may only be up to iOS 4.3, but that doesn’t meanApple‘s programmers aren’t hard at work on the next whole number update to the company’s mobile operating system. There’s already been talk of a possible Apple press conference in April that will focus on MobileMe and iOS 5, but now it seems the winds may be blowing in a different direction.
Instead, the iOS 5 launch might be pushed all the way into fall — when some believe an iPad 3 may be released — with a reveal coming at Apple’s annual Worldwide Developer’s Conference, or WWDC, in June, TechCrunch reports via “two solid sources.” The iOS 5 reveal is said to tie heavily in with another big push for Apple at this year’s WWDC, the announcement of some sort of cloud service.

Apple MacBook Pro 17-inch (2011) Review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review: Apple supercharges the 17-inch MacBook Pro for 2011 with the latest Intel Core i7 processors, ATI Radeon HD graphics, and Intel Thunderbolt connectivity.
Apple MacBook Pro 17 inchSteve Jobs may have waxed poetic about the “post-PC” age at the recent launch of the iPad 2, but as the most recent revamp of the MacBook Pro shows, Apple’s expertise at crafting a laptop remains as sharp as ever. While the MacBook Pro retains the same look and feel Apple has been milking for years, the addition of faster processors, graphics and Intel’s brand new Thunderbolt interface all put more zip beneath the outstanding unibody design. You may have to refinance your house to afford one, but once it’s in your hands, there’s little the folding powerhouse won’t do.

Features

Apple still offers the MacBook in 13-, 15- and 17-inch variants. We tested the 17 incher, which starts with at least a 2.2GHz Core i7 and AMD Radeon HD 6750 graphics, making it a brute even in its standard configuration. (At $2,499 and up, it should be). For graphics gurus and multi-taskers, the centerpiece of the desktop replacement model comes courtesy of an LED-lit, 17-inch LCD screen with 1920 x 1200 resolution, available in glossy or antiglare. Ours also came equipped with a 750GB Toshiba drive spinning at 5400RPM and of course, the new Thunderbolt interface.

IPhone 5 review!!!!!!!!!!

A report out of China suggests Apple is going ahead with plans to support "wave and pay" NFC technology in the iPhone 5 and is also looking to establish a manufacturing base in South America to help meet North American demand for its products.

A new report from China Times is the latest in a steady stream of rumors indicating that the iPhone 5 will include near-field communications (NFC) technology to support mobile “e-wallet” transactions. The report says that the next-generation Apple smartphone has entered the “trial production stage” en route to a summer 2011 release.
Earlier this week, The New York Timesreported that Apple was working on developing NFC technology for a “coming” iPhone model, but didn’t indicate if that would be the iPhone 5. The new reports favoring the inclusion of NFC are in contrast with a report out of the U.K. suggesting Apple was dropping its plans for an NFC-ready iPhone 5.
China Times has reported that the phone will have a redesigned metal chassis meant to improve antennae function. The iPhone 4 was widely criticized for its poor antennae design, which was blamed for weakening signal strength when the phone was gripped in certain ways.

Steve Jobs ordered to answer questions in iTunes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A federal judge has ordered Apple CEO Steve Jobs to submit to questioning relating to a 2004 iPod software update which rendered content purchased from competing digital music store Harmony inoperable on the device.
steve-jobs-close-up-profile-from-behind
Apple CEO Steve Jobs has been ordered by a federal judge to submit to questioning in an antitrust case which alleges that the tech company iTunes service constitutes a music downloading monopoly. The order comes from U.S. Magistrate Judge Howard R. Lloyd, who is overseeing the proceedings on a complaint that was taken to the courts back in 2005, Bloomberg reports.
The plaintiff’s legal team must abide by a number of court-imposed restrictions; Jobs’ deposition may not exceed two hours and questions must be limited to issues surrounding software changes Apple made in October 2004 that prevented music purchased from RealNetworks, Inc. from working with the iPod MP3 player. The Seattle-based iTunes competitor announced in July 2004 that music purchased from its Harmony online store would work with the popular Apple media players. Five days later, a new iPod software update was revealed with tweaks Apple’s FairPlay — the proprietary software used to encode iTunes content — that would prevent RealNetworks content from working.

Apple releases iOS 4.3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, it's not March 11th, but you can now download iOS 4.3 for you iPhone, iPad or iPod touch (most of them, anyway). That, of course, brings with it mobile hotspot functionality for iPhones, along with a variety of new AirPlay features, a new and improved version of Safari, and a number of other more minor improvements and fixes (like an option to control how your iPad's side switch behaves). We're already busy testing it out ourselves and will report back on what we find, but you can feel free to leave your own first impressions in the comments below in the meantime -- Apple's complete list of what's included in the update is after the break.

About iOS 4.3 Software Update

ipad2 review and iphone hd wallpapers

In January 2010, shortly after its unveiling, I first got my hands on an iPad. My initial reaction? “The iPad is like holding the future.” And that’s funny because here we are, just a little over a year into that future, and something new has come along that makes holding the iPad 1 feel like holding the past: the iPad 2.
A week ago, after its unveiling, I got some hands on time with the new hardware and my initial assessment was that it pushed a device that already had no true competition, even farther ahead. But now I’ve had the chance to actually use the thing non-stop for a week. Is my feeling the same?
Actually, it’s even stronger.
The original iPad was considered a huge hit — but that was with no real competition. The iPad 2 has some competition — right now, the Xoom, and many more are coming. But I have no doubt that the iPad 2 will be an even bigger hit than the original.

Samsung Thinks Its Galaxy Tab Is 'Inadequate' Next to ipad2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

galaxy tabSince your writer is an Apple fangirl, there is nothing she enjoys more than a bit of corporate schadenfreude whenever tech manufacturers grit their collective teeth at Apple's latest releaseof yet another much-hyped device. Poor Samsung, the maker of the Android-based Galaxy Tab, has decided to reconsider its tablet's pricing, and, according to Executive VP Lee Don-Joo, "improve the parts that are inadequate." He didn't say what that meant, but, if Samsung wants to compete in the tablet game, itbetter start rhyming with winning.
