HP Veer 4G review || HP Veer 4G landing at AT&T May 15 !!!!!!!!!!!

HP Veer 4G (hand)
Technology giant Hewlett-Packard is finally getting into the business of launching smartphones running Palm’s webOS: it’s compact HP Veer 4G smartphone will be going on sale from AT&T on May 15 for $99.99, with a new two-year service agreement. The Veer is a departure from the growing footprint of smartphones, which have often focused on offering larger-and-larger touchscreens to tap into digital entertainment capabilities. The Veer, well, veers a different direction, emphasizing small size, light weight, and extreme portability without sacrificing any smartphone capabilities.
“Veer is introducing the smartphone experience to a new generation of users,” said HP’s VP of Palm smartphone product management Stephane Maes, in a statement. “Its unique combination of high-end webOS smartphone features in a surprisingly compact package is just right for customers who want to do more with less.”

nokia e7 review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We all know what E Series stands for. Business phones. Nokia Business phones.
We missed those days, or let me say, I missed those days. Up until this day, the phone I held for the longest period was the Nokia E51 that lasted in my hands for over 18 months, followed by the E71 that lasted almost a year. And trust me, holding a phone for a whole year is something huge for me. It means a lot. It says a lot.
To cut the story short, Nokia is preparing itself to release on the Lebanese market the E7, their latest E-Series business oriented device.
But the context is a bit… tricky. Sensitive tricky, to say the least. The main question we’re asking ourselves here at GIGAlb is: “will the E7 be the last of its kind? The last Symbian powered business device?”… well, most probably, yes.

NOKIA C7 REVIEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ctia-2011-t-mobile-astound-nokia-c7
Nokia may be moving toward Windows Phone, but with the T-Mobile Astound (C7), it shows that with a few needed upgrades, Symbian can still function as a good entry-level smartphone.
Nokia may have signed a deal with Microsoft, but it isn’t ready to abandon Symbian just yet. While it readies its first batch of Windows Phones, the Finnish handset maker is giving Symbian one more shot in the U.S. market. Together with T-Mobile, a wireless carrier that will similarly cede itself to AT&T in the year ahead, it has released the C7 under a friendly new name the “T-Mobile Astound.” And astound it does. It took a complete death in the U.S. market, but Nokia has fixed a few of the most glaring issues with its most recent slate of Symbian devices and we’re happy to say that the C7 is a decent beginner device for those who want to wade, not plunge, into the land of smartphones.

Snappier

If you used the Nokia N8 or other recent Symbian devices, the first thing you’ll notice about the Astound is how snappy it is. Nokia took steps to speed up the responsiveness of the homescreens and app start-ups on the C7 and their efforts were well worth it. With the widgeted homescreens of Symban 3.0, the Astound looks and acts like part of the Android and iOS gang.

BlackBerry Playbook review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Research In Motion confirms pricing and an April 19 release date for its upcoming BlackBerry PlayBook tablet as pre-orders open at Best Buy.
blackberry-playbook-screen
BlackBerry developer Research In Motion has arguably been the hardest-hit following the arrival of the iPhone and the growth in the global smartphone market that followed. Still, if you are going to bet on any company to successfully compete with Apple in this post-iPad world, RIM is your best choice. The tech firm is still a dominating presence in the business world, and that’s the angle it is taking with its soon-to-arrive PlayBook tablet, which is now officially priced, dated and open for pre-orders.
Best Buy posted three pre-order product pages for the 7-inch tablet last night, with the 16GB model costing $499.99, the 32GB modelcosting $599.99 and the top-level 64GB model costing $699.99. Pre-orders are now open, and a RIM press release confirms that the product will arrive in select stores — namely, Best Buy, Best Buy Mobile and Future Shop — on April 19.
Best Buy and Future Shop are the first retailers to get the tablet, but RIM further confirms that you’ll eventually be able to find it pretty much anywhere that deals in tech goods, including Staples, Office Depot and Radio Shack. The PlayBook will also be available from three of the top four wireless providers in the country, AT&TSprint andVerizonT-Mobile is notably absent from the list, though that won’t exactly matter in another 12 months.

Vogel iPad WallMount review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vogel's iPad accessories: The WallMount, CarMount and TableMountOh no, not another iPad accessory that I'll struggle to find a use for...
Admittedly, that was my first thought when Vogel's iPad wall mount landed on my desk. After all, why on earth would you want to go to the trouble of mounting your device on a wall?
So whilst I went about my daily business, in the back of my mind I was trying to imagine how I could possibly utilise it.Vogel's iPad WallMount: Easy to assemble
This accessory is a mount and cover system all in one - so you can protect your iPad as well as 'hang' it anywhere you choose.
The pack is easy to assemble and comes with a lightweight connector which allows the mount to be connected to Vogel's other products: the CarMount and TableMount.
The first step though is to attach your iPad to the base cover - fairly simple, it just snaps into place. Vogel's iPad accessories: The WallMount, CarMount and TableMount
Then you attach your connector and fit to whichever wall you desire after using adhesive or screws. In my case, the kitchen was the best option so I could refer to the iPad while reading my recipe.
An added bonus is that the connector allows you to rotate your device 360 degrees.
While a wall mount for the iPad had limited use for me, I'd be more likely to buy the CarMount (it can be attached to the front headrest so a back seat passenger can use it) and the TableMount (it comes with a stand).

Google Nexus S smartphone review!!!!!!!!!!!!

Samsung Nexus S mobile phone
It’s not you, it’s me. No, really, it is.
You see, I do love you really. I love your big face. I love your curves. No, you’re not fat, you’re just… nice to hold. I like holding you close to me.
And you’re very responsive to my lightest touch. And Smart too,
But you see, rightly or wrongly, I’m a creature of habit. I don’t have a lot of time to myself these days and I can’t put up with your demands for my attention.
And, if I’m honest, there’s someone else. And I can’t stop thinking about her. She’s a  bit square. And a little overweight, but she’s very pretty. And I’ve loved her for a long time.
The Samsung Nexus S mobile phone has a slightly curved scree for added comfort when making calls
Okay, okay… don’t get angry. Some people don’t like her – they say she hasn’t got much going for her, that she holds me back.  Her name’s Apple. Apple iPhone 4.
So, therein lies my problem.
I’ve had the Samsung’s Google Nexus S for a couple of weeks now and it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster of emotions.
First time I switched it on I adored it. I wanted it in my hand all the time. Time was gobbled up browsing through the Android Market – the phone’s equivalent of Apple’s App Store.
Within hours I had changed the keyboard several times, I had it loaded with games, I had a screensaver of soothing Koi carp and I was Googling everything I could think of.

AT&T Launching New 3G Samsung Phones

AT&T Launching New 3G Samsung Phones
AT&T has announced it will be offering the Samsung clamshell SHG-A717 and candybar SGH-A727, bringing 3G multimedia capabilities at budget-bearable prices.
AT&T is rapidly ramping up for the launch of the Apple iPhone, but the company realizes that not everyone may be willing to spend upwards of $500 for a sleek phone/Internet appliance/iPod from Apple: there will still be a sizable market of folks who want some 3G mobile and multimedia capacity but could do without the bells and whistles…and high prices.
To that end, AT&T has announced it will be offering Samsung’s clamshell Samsung SGH-A717 and candybar SHG-A727 phones, promising powerful multimedia capabilities in a slim package. The quad-band GSM phones offer Bluetooth 2.0, microSD storage, SMS and MMS messaging, and can tap into AT&T’s MobiTV and MobiRadio streaming media services over the company’s 3G mobile network. The a717 sports a 2 megapixel camera, while the a727 offers a 1.3 megapixel shooter. Both phones will also support AT&T’s Video Share service, due to launch in the next few months, which enables users to add a one-way video stream to an outgoing voice call: if you’re calling a 3G-enabled mobile customer on a Video Share-enabled phone, they’ll hear your voice and see what you’re doing. (Or maybe just get am extreme close-up of your ear.)

Nintendo 3DS review (Japanese)

Nintendo 3DS review (Japanese)
It's been almost a year since Nintendo revealed the 3DS to the world, trotted it out at E3, held proudlyby a flotilla of genetically-cloned and identically-dressed ladies. Of course we knew about it long before that, but when it comes to glasses-free 3D screens seeing is believing. After that first glimpse we were left intrigued by the technology, but we wouldn't say we were exactly believers. Now, after spending about a week living with one of Nintendo's $250 consoles, working with one, gaming with one, and practicing kana with one, we've seen the light. The fancy-pants screen works, but it only does so with a lot of caveats.

Docomo To Offer The World’s Thinnest Smartphone In 3 Weeks

On Monday, we’ve just shown you some leaked pictures, but we can now confirm the “world’s thinnest smartphone”, NEC Casio Mobile’s MEDIAS N-04C, is real. And provider NTT Docomo, Japan’s biggest mobile carrier, doesn’t want to lose time in bringing it to market: it will hit stores over here as early as March 15.
As reported, the Medias measures just 7.7mm, which makes it the slimmest 3G smartphone out there (the Galaxy S II is 8.49mm thick).
At 105g, it’s pretty light, too (the iPhone 4 weighs 137g), especially when you consider what the device packs:
  • 4-inch LCD touchscreen with 480 x 854 resolution
  • Gorilla Glass
  • Android 2.2 (2.3 update in summer this year)
  • 5.1MP CMOS camera
  • i-mode compatibilty
  • 1Seg digital TV tuner..................................

TRACK YOUR CHAILD WITH A PHONE!!!!!!!!!!

single-button-security-phone-1.jpgYour child's security is of prime importance for every parent and keeping this in mind, Japan’s Softbank and ZTE has introduced a new mobile which acts more of a security device than a communicating device. The phone doubles as a one-button panic alarm that’s wired into a cell phone, designed specifically for preschoolers and seniors. This one-button smartphone will call parents or other emergency contacts when the caller needs immediate help. Once the call is completed, the device sends an automated email with GPS data pinpointing the caller’s location. The phone also comes with an alarm that will allow parents to find a child when it is lost.

Many people will want to invest in a brand new model for 2011 and it really is not surprising considering how important our mobile phones are to us nowadays. When it comes to our mobile phones, they really can say quite a bit about us so it is important thatthe phone we buy actually says what we want it to. The tips below should give you some ideas if you are thinking about making a mobilephone purchase in 2011. PhoneArena
- January is a great month for finding bargains and what better time to get your hands on a brand new mobile phone. Look out for sales and you could save yourself a lot of money.
- Mobile phones quickly go out of date. If there is something new about to be released then you might be better off waiting until this becomes available in the shops. If you don’t care about staying with the most up-to-date phones then you will be able to find some great bargains. PhoneArena
top 5 cell phones Things To Consider When Buying Mobile Phones For 2011- If you are buying a first generation phone you might want to be a bit cautious. There are normally glitches found in the first models of a phone which don’t get picked up until the phone is actually released to the general public and the second generation phones won’t have these same problems. So it is up to you to choose between having a brand new up to date phone with warts and all or waiting for a bit to make sure you don’t have to put up with these problems. The best idea it hold back for a few weeks after a phone has been released so that you can find out what other people are saying. It won’t kill you to hold off for those extra weeks and it will give you time to do a bit of research and to read reviews on how the phone is holding up.
