apple playbook review!!!!!!!!

BlackBerry Playbook
The release of Research In Motion's BlackBerry PlayBook tablet may have been pushed back one month due to the lack of touch screens brought on by an Apple's hunger for iPad 2 components.
Anyone thinking about taking on Apple in the tablet wars, take heed: The release of Research in Motion’sBlackBerry PlayBook tablet was delayed for one month, likely because of high demand for the iPad 2.
According to DigiTimes, “PlayBook shipments were postponed for about a month from the original schedule due to a delay in software testing as well as shortage of touch panels because Apple already booked up most of the available capacity.”

Best Laptops under $500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Save some cash with the 10 best laptops under $500, from companies including Sony, Dell and HP.
Don’t tell the hordes swarming into the Apple Store every weekend, but the days of needing to spend over $1,000 to get a quality laptop passed by while most of them were still in high school. Even before netbooks came along sending manufacturers into a frenzy while chewing their own margins down to pennies just to compete, prices on Windows laptops were in a freefall, leaving today’s prices at rock bottom. With Windows 7 now standard, you won’t have to deal with Microsoft’s last dud of an operating system this year either. Just about any notebook under $500 will serve your most basic needs, but some inevitably do it a whole lot better than others. Here are some of our favorites. If you have a favorite you would like to share, or want us to know about, please post it below!
Note: All prices reflect what you can find these notebooks for on the street or online, not necessarily MSRP.

wonder : Spring brings splash color to all branded laptops!!!!!!!!!

Aspire One "Happy" series
Laptop manufacturers now elbow for eyes with bright colors and unique designs as they compete with the growing tablet market, and each other.

Roy G. Biv is about to make himself comfortable in the notebook section at your local retailer. Manufacturers are preparing to deviate from the standard black and grey color schemes and will soon produce configurations in a variety of colors. As tablets are increasingly seen as the hippest new device on the block, PC manufacturers are being forced to compete for coolness, if only aesthetically.
For low-priced mini netbooks, color is the main appeal. Since the vast majority now feature the same 10.1-inch display, Atom processor, and 250GB hard drive, color has become the easiest way to differentiate between models. Consumers have begun treating netbooks as an accessory, rather than a computer. And what’s cooler than being able to match your netbook with your shoes? Here’s a rundown of the major PC manufacturers’ plans to make computing more colorful:

MSI X-Slim X370 packs dual-core CPU and discrete graphics!!!!!!!!!!!!

MSI's new X-Slim X370 ultraportable notebook packs AMD's dual-core E-350 processor and Radeon HD 6310 graphics - and still has 10 hours of battery life.
Taiwan’s MSI has added another notebook to its X-Slim series of ultraportables, the X370. Weighing in at just over 3 pounds, the X370 features AMD’s power-sipping dual-core E-350 processor running at 1.6 GHz (or a E240, if you’re on a budget), along with a 13.4-inch 1,366 by 768-pixel LED backlit display driven by AMD Radeon HD 6310 discrete graphics. That may not make the X370 a serious contender at LAN parties, but it’s more graphics oomph than most ultraportables pack, and MSI says the system will still manage 10 hours of battery life thanks to a total processor power draw of just 18 watts.
MSI X-Slim X370 ultraportable
The X370 will be available with a hard drive ranging from 320 to 640 GB, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, a 4-in-1 media card reader, gigabit Ethernet, plus 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR wireless networking. The X370 won’t offer a USB 3.0 port, but there are two USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI output for pushing content to a big screen, and a VGA output for hooking up monitors, projectors, and other displays. The X370 will ship with a four-cell battery, but an 8-cell version wil be available too.

Vogel iPad WallMount review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vogel's iPad accessories: The WallMount, CarMount and TableMountOh no, not another iPad accessory that I'll struggle to find a use for...
Admittedly, that was my first thought when Vogel's iPad wall mount landed on my desk. After all, why on earth would you want to go to the trouble of mounting your device on a wall?
So whilst I went about my daily business, in the back of my mind I was trying to imagine how I could possibly utilise it.Vogel's iPad WallMount: Easy to assemble
This accessory is a mount and cover system all in one - so you can protect your iPad as well as 'hang' it anywhere you choose.
The pack is easy to assemble and comes with a lightweight connector which allows the mount to be connected to Vogel's other products: the CarMount and TableMount.
The first step though is to attach your iPad to the base cover - fairly simple, it just snaps into place. Vogel's iPad accessories: The WallMount, CarMount and TableMount
Then you attach your connector and fit to whichever wall you desire after using adhesive or screws. In my case, the kitchen was the best option so I could refer to the iPad while reading my recipe.
An added bonus is that the connector allows you to rotate your device 360 degrees.
While a wall mount for the iPad had limited use for me, I'd be more likely to buy the CarMount (it can be attached to the front headrest so a back seat passenger can use it) and the TableMount (it comes with a stand).

Gateway NV59c Review!!!!!!!!!!

Review: The Gateway NV59c makes a stylish pop-up entertainment center for around the house, but won’t be quite as home on the road.

Whether you’re folded into a hostel bunk beside a bunch of snoring Germans, holed up in a concrete box of a dorm room, or just too cheap for a TV, a laptop can be as much an entertainment center as a tool for communication, study and productivity. Gateway’s NV59c shoulders the burden of keeping users grinning with a 15.6-inch screen, integrated Blu-ray player, and even built-in WiMax for keeping the Hulu, YouTube and Netflix videos rolling, even when you’re away from home. While it’s far from the ideal travel notebook, its affordable prices and comfortable controls make the NV59c a decent value for the right type of user. Continue on to our full review below for our in-depth look at the Gateway NV59c.

Features

Gateway stuffs the NV59c with processors as fast as the Core i5 460M and options like ATI Radeon HD 5470 or Nvidia GeForce 320M graphics, but our NV59c66u came with a Core i3 370M (clocked at 2.4GHz) and vanilla Intel HD graphics. It also sports a 500GB hard drive, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, and a Blu-ray drive.
At a portly 5.72 pounds and 1.34 inches thick, the NV59 certainly feels happiest on a desktop, but it’s actually reasonably competitive — A similarly equipped Dell Inspiron 15 packs a little more meat on the bones while HP’s G62 cuts a bit away, leaving the NV59 about average.

Motorola Atrix 4G Review!!!!!!!!!!!

Review: The Motorola Atrix 4G is a versatile, powerful and attractive smartphone that delivers the goods – for the most part.
Convergence is everywhere these days – be it game consoles that stream Netflix movies, GPS devices that double as speakerphones and televisions with Web browsers – but the Motorola Atrix 4G smartphone takes this concept to the next level.
Specifically, with the aid of a couple of optional accessories, this AT&T exclusive from Motorola ($199.99 on 2-year term) can transform into a laptop or media hub for your big-screen TV.
This Android 2.2 Atrix isn’t a flawless product, mind you, but based on our hands-on review time with it over the past few days it’s a clever digital Swiss Army Knife.
Before we review its versatility – where the real story is here — a few words on the Atrix 4G itself.

Intel and Lenovo release the Classmate+ PC for the kids

Thinking that netbook up there looks exactly like Intel's latest Classmate PC with a Lenovo sticker smacked on? Well, you'd be entirely correct. Lenovo and Intel have teamed up to bring out the Classmate+, which is indeed just a rebadged Classmate PC (or Intel Learning Series reference design). The 10.1-inch netbook doesn't have Intel's fresh Atom N570 processor, but it has all the other netbook essentials, including an Atom N455 CPU, Windows 7, 1GB of RAM, a 1.3 megapixel camera, WiFi, and three- and six-cell battery options. However, like most of the other Classmate PCs, the Classmate+ won't be available directly to consumers -- they will be sold in bulk to educational institutions or agencies, primarily in the developing world. And the Classmate+ is off to a great start -- 158,000 are already set to be deployed this spring in Buenos Aires. See kids, netbooks are far from dead! Hit the break for the full press release / specs and the gallery below for a few more images of the lunch box-like laptop.

Toshiba REGZA Phone IS04 - A waterproof Android phone

REGZA-Phone-IS04-1.jpgA brief look at the REGZA Phone IS04 firms my belief that the Japanese definitely make cool phones. A part of KDDi's lineup the phone is jointly developed by Toshiba and Fujitsu. Clad in black / white the phone has Japan's favorite form factor - clamshell. Running on Android 2.1 the phone has a 4 inch display supporting a Wide VGA resolution (854 x 480), it supports Flash lite and can be upgraded to Android ver 2.2 and powering the phone is a 1 Ghz Snapdragon processor. Toshiba has squeezed in a 12.1 megapixel camera which is the highest on any mainstream Android phone yet, plus the phone confirms to basic waterproofing standards so you can use the phone in a swimming pool, beach etc. Coming to the specs it has Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, 3D noise reduction technology for clearer conversations and Micro-SD card slot which can swallow a 32 GB card. The REGZA Phone IS04 has a standby time of 320 hours, talk time of 300 minutes, it measures 62×126×12.2mm, weighs 149 grams and will be made available by end of this year in Japan only.

Android Honeycomb Is Coming, Already In Use!!!!!!!!!!!!

So yesterday, Google officially announced Android 3.0, known as Honeycomb (Google tends to name their Android builds after sweet, delicious desserts).  Aimed directly at combating the Apple iPad head-on, more and more Honeycomb-powered tablets are being leaked or revealed.
Well, we’ve seen two already in-use come through the Chitika network – those are the Motorola Xoom and the LG G-Slate, which announces itself as the LG-v909.  Both have been officially announced, and since they’re already at least in use for testing, appear to be fairly close to release.

NoteSlate – A Minimalist Tablet or Vaporware?

NoteSlate Here’s an interesting gadget: a low tech tablet device with a monochrome display, real paper-look design and long life battery. Its whole interface is editable with a pencil. Other features include Wi-Fi connectivity, SD card USB input. With its compact design and unique simple interface, this tablet is obviously aimed at the tech minimalist with a propensity for sketching and note taking.
