India Bills $50 Tablet as 'World's Cheapest Computer || Cheapest laptops and tablets in the world !!!!!!!!!!

Students display Aakash, which means sky, dubbed the world's cheapest tablet computer, after its launching ceremony in New Delhi October 5, 2011. REUTERS-Parivartan SharmaMove over Kindle Fire—there's a much cheaper tablet in development. India's Education Ministry is set to produce a barebones, Internet-ready tablet device that it's calling the "world's cheapest computer," according to CNN.
The price? A mere $50.
That means you could purchase four of the unnamed (something's written on the bezel, but it's tough to see what it is) Indian tablets for the price of one of Amazon'snew 7-inch Kindle Fire devices, already considered by many to be a bargain at $199 in a market currently dominated by Apple's iPad 2, which starts at a whopping $499 for the entry-level model.

apple playbook review!!!!!!!!

BlackBerry Playbook
The release of Research In Motion's BlackBerry PlayBook tablet may have been pushed back one month due to the lack of touch screens brought on by an Apple's hunger for iPad 2 components.
Anyone thinking about taking on Apple in the tablet wars, take heed: The release of Research in Motion’sBlackBerry PlayBook tablet was delayed for one month, likely because of high demand for the iPad 2.
According to DigiTimes, “PlayBook shipments were postponed for about a month from the original schedule due to a delay in software testing as well as shortage of touch panels because Apple already booked up most of the available capacity.”

HSN confirms Nook Store, Android 2.2, Flash, push e-mail for Nook Color review!!!!!!!!!!

Android 2.2, Adobe Flash support, push e-mail and an app store will upgrade Barnes & Noble's Nook Color e-reader to tablet status with a mid-April software update.
Nook color (Nov 2010)
At the end of last week, a Home Shopping Network product listing for Barnes & Noble‘s e-reader, the Nook Color, revealed that a coming update would bring apps to the device via a Nook Store and Flash support. The listing was later edited to remove any specific mention of Flash, but that didn’t stop observers from hypothesizing that this meant the device would be getting a major update for its Android operating system.
The details of the upgrade, which is planned for mid-April, have now been confirmed by the television network in a product demo broadcast, Engadget reports. Flash is indeed coming to the device, along with an app store — Angry Birds is confirmed — and push e-mail, ushered along by an OS update to Android 2.2. HSN customers will apparently be first in line to receive the update, which presumably means that anyone who buys one there will receive their device with everything pre-installed. It should be noted, however, that the HSN price of $299.99 is $50 more than the B&N online and in-store price of $249.99.

samsung-ctia-2011-galaxy-tab-10-old-on-display
At its CTIA "Unpacked" event today, Samsung showed off a refreshed, thinner Galaxy Tab 10.1 and its brand new Galaxy Tab 8.9 as well as pricing/availability for both.
For many companies, CTIA has taken a backseat to the Mobile World Congress and CES this year, but not for Samsung. Just a month after unveiling its Galaxy S II and Galaxy Tab 10.1, Samsung showed off two new tablets and mouthful of software and UI enhancements for its entire tablet lineup. Our complete recap is below.

exclusive launch of Wi-Fi HTC Flyer tablet!!!!!!!!!!!!

it’s no secret that mobile device maker HTC is getting into the Android tablet game, and as that day approaches the company is lining up retail partners to make sure its gizmos get into consumers hands. American electronics retailer Best Buy has just announced that it will be the exclusive retail launch partner for the Wi-Fi HTC Flyer Android tablet—although the company isn’t yet offering any pricing information, or saying anything more definite than “spring” for when the device may go on sale.
HTC Flyer (March 2011)
“Over the past few months we’ve seen several new tablets enter the market, and we’re especially excited to partner with HTC to bring the Wi-Fi version of the HTC Flyer to our customers as a national retail launch exclusive,” said Best buy Mobile head of merchandising Scott Anderson, in a statement. “We have worked hard to bring a large assortment of great tablets to Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores, and the HTC Flyer is a great example of that effort.”

latest 3d tablet review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

T-Mobile and LG's new G-Slate tablet has some solid features, but its defining one, 3D, is poorly executed and uses 3D technology out of the 1950s.
LG’s G-Slate has a lot going for it, but 3D ain’t one of them. Though it’s tech specs are decent and its 8.9-inch size is interesting, but after spending some time with the new tablet, I don’t see the value in its most talked about feature: the 3D. Unlike its LG Revolution (LG Thrill 3D on AT&T) handset, which has a glasses-free 3D screen and 3D camera, the G-Slate’s implementation of 3D is bewildering. If a 3D tablet came out in the 1950s, this would be it.
Though the G-Slate has two side-by-side cameras capable of recording stereoscopic images, it lacks a screen capable of displaying them back, likely due to the cost of such a display. While I can understand why LG wouldn’t include a glasses-free or passive 3D screen (passive glasses are the kind you use in movie theaters), their insistence on including 3D playback has brought an old friend back: anaglyph 3D. Remember those terrible red and blue glasses? Yeah, this tablet comes with a pair of those. It’s the only way to view 3D content on the device. You can also record using a single camera or both cameras side-by-side, which shows two separate images/recordings to the left and right of one another. Representatives told me that recording in side-by-side is probably the best method if you hope to output to an external device like a TV. I’m told they can turn the image into 3D, but I cannot verify it. Unless you plan on recording your home movies using technology best found inside a cereal box, I don’t recommend the G-Slate for 3D.

Official Motorola Xoom prices and specifications!!!!!!!

Motorola Xoom
Final word on the cost of the Motorola Xoom is in: The soon-to-be released Android tablet will sell for the unsubsidized price of $799 on Verizon Wireless, or $600 for the Wi-Fi-only model, Reuters reports.
The news comes via Motorola’s chief executive, Sanjay Jha, who made the announcement at Mobile World Congress 2011, which is currently taking place in Barcelona, Spain.
Fortunately for Motorola, the price is far less than therumored $1,199 that appeared on Best Buy’s Xoom pre-order page, which has since been removed.
The Motorola Xoom will run on Google’s newest mobile operating system Android 3.0 “Honeycomb.” But according to Jha, his company plans to fully embrace Android across all its mobile devices — especially now that Nokia hascommitted itself to Microsoft’s Windows Phone OS.

HP Palm’s webOS Topaz tablet pics leaked!!!!!!!!!

Topaz
Apparently February 9 couldn't come soon enough: Well before HP's scheduled press event, details have started to surface on the so-called Topaz and Opal tablets from HP Palm.
Well that didn’t take long. Earlier this month at CES, HP exec Todd Bradley not-so-subtly hinted that a webOS tablet would be introduced February 14. Today, we’re getting a thorough first look at the ecosystem HP plans to introduce in a few weeks.
Engadget first published internal images from a “trusted tipster” this morning, revealing HP Palm’s Topaz tablet: a 9-inch, button-less device featuring a front-facing camera, microUSB port, and multiple speakers. The site also claims that Topaz will run on an unknown 1.2GHz processor and will most likely launch in September.
But that’s not all. It’s been assumed that February 9 will introduce multiple devices, and the event’s invitations read “Something big, Something small, Something beyond.” So it’s only fitting that the “something small” be a 7-inch tablet. “Opal” is also projected to make an appearance the ninth, and Engadget’s insider says it will be sized comparably to the Galaxy Tab, except “smaller and wider.” It will most likely launch after Topaz.
