Samsung B2230 Full HD Monitor Unboxing and Review

Thinking of purchasing a new LCD Monitor to replace your old CRT Monitor then today we will see a replacement for your CRT Monitor. Recently i bought a new Full HD LCD Monitor Samsung B2230 which is having a 22 inches of Wide screen. One thing is clear anytime Samsung products offer much better design and quality than any other like BenQ and all.
Samsung B2230With some cool features like Magic Angle and Eco mode this monitor promises to offer you better Power saving modes with great brightness levels as this monitor has a contrast ratio of 70,000:1. Magic Eco lets you to save the brightness which in turn saves the Power and with Magic angle you can change the contrast and gamma of the screen so that you can view it clearly even when you are standing.
Design & Build
If you can recollect, the design of this monitor seems to be inspired from the Samsung’s 2233 SW except for design at edges which are much of a rounded rather than sharp and also the upper and lower portions have more of a concave design. This B2230 monitor looks stunning with a concave design from the back too and entire bezel is a glossy instead of a standard matte finish. The buttons in the front are feather touch buttons which is very comfortable to use. Though these keys are not backlit, it will not be a problem to change the settings in dark as its dynamic contrast ratio display will provide the sufficient light which can even light a room.

B2230 Front View
As you can see that the rear of the monitor has a slightly different and good looking design with a lot of gap between the ports like power and the VGA Port. Absence of HDMI Port was a turned down but not anytime soon HD will be adopted in India with lack of content the absence of this feature shouldn’t hurt you much.
B2230 Rear ViewPerformance:
In terms of Power saving, this Monitor is no less than Genie as this Genie got several modes in which you can save the power consumption for as low as 18 W in the Eco Mode, 21W in the Standard Mode and 37W in the Game Mode. There’s currently no one who offers this accurate power saving techniques. In the Game Mode, the backlight of the screen is increased along with the contrast to give you a much more vibrant picture while gaming. In this case the power shoots up to around 37W, which is the highest it will go. Also, Once you enable the Magic Eco mode at 50% the power draw drops drastically to a mere 18W.
