India’s biggest car manufacturer company Maruti Suzuki has launched its all-new Maruti Wagon R Car, Today on April 23rd, 2010.
For the last 11 years the Maruti Wagon R has been a tried and tested workhorse for Maruti Suzuki.
This all-new Maruti Wagon R is based on a new platform that currently underpins the Maruti Wagon R in the Japanese market.

For the last 11 years the Maruti Wagon R has been a tried and tested workhorse for Maruti Suzuki.
This all-new Maruti Wagon R is based on a new platform that currently underpins the Maruti Wagon R in the Japanese market.
The Maruti Wagon R is taller, wider and longer than before and sports new suspension componentry at both the front and the rear.
Customers who’ve bought the Maruti Wagon R car, have for the most part, been happy with their purchase and the car has brought in good numbers it averages over 12,000 units a month.
New Maruti Wagon R Car comes with Bharat IV compliant KB series engine of 998 cc, developing 67 PS or 50 KW of power at 6200rpm.
The engine is exactly the same as that of Maruti A-Star. The smooth pick up will always be the highlight of this Wagon R, too. The guaranteed CNG system is installed in this updated version.
The car will be available in vivid range of colours including golden, silver, pink, purple, etc.
New Wagon R will give a mileage of 18.9 kmpl of petrol under standard conditions. It will be launched in three models, LX, LXi and VXi.
Top end version will get features like ABS, Airbags and Stereo System embedded with it. LPG version will be launched later on. The car will be priced around 3.3 lakh to 4.5 lakh.
The new Maruti Suzuki car looks very good, compared to the previous version. The fuel efficiency of the vehicle is 14.15 Kmpl.
While the current Wagon R comes with a 1.1-litre four-cylinder engine, the new car would be fitted with the 67bhp, three-cylinder, 1.0-litre K-Series engine that also does duty on the Maruti A-Star and Estilo.
Apart from this major change, the new Wagon R will also get revised, upgraded suspension, new gearbox (with optimised ratios for low-rpm torque delivery), more contemporary interiors and safety features like ABS and airbags.
Maruti Suzuki is said to have invested close to Rs 600 crore towards launching the new Wagon R in India. Stay tuned for more details on this car, soon.
