South Korean mobile phone manufacturer LG Electronics has announced today the world’s first dual-core Android Smartphone LG Optimus 2X. The LG Optimus 2X is indeed going to be the most powerful Android Smartphone as it will come pre-loaded with Tegra 2 chipset and 1GHz dual-core processor. Previously it was known as LG Star but now it seems that LG has planned to drop this name because LG Optimus 2X depict the device’s actual running.
The device is said to bring greater performance along with reduced power consumption. It will be released with Android 2.2 FroYo operating system but in future it will be upgradable to Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The LG Optimus 2X is going to first hit its home land markets that is South Korea next month and then Europeand Asia will follow.There is nothing in the press release about US release and its pricing.
