MULLAPUDI VENKATA RAMANA PASSES AWAY

We take birth in this world to achieve something. Some conquer the world, some succeed in getting the name and fame, and some strive hard to earn the bread for their living. But few people get to the top with their meritorious efforts despite of facing obstacles in life.
Mullapudi Venkata Ramana, a man who is to be appreciated for his well known writing skills. The legend is especially known for his hilarious style of writing in Tollywood industry. The master is supposed to be a bosom friend of Bapu. Numerous movies in Telugu are blessed with the versatile man’s heart-touching and rib-tickling dialogues. It is a known fact that Ramana’s words and Bapu’s lines are made for each other.

The legend was born on June 28th, 1931. In the year 1953, he took up his first official job as a reporter in ‘Andhra Patrika’. Later he got introduced to film industry and befriended the famous stars of film fraternity. Ramana’s first short story ‘Amma Maata Vinakapothe’ was published in 1945 in Bala, a children’s magazine. Ramana and Bapu happened to be school mates at that point of time, when Bapu illustrated the story. That was the beginning of their career as a “writer-producer-illustrator-filmmaker duo”. Both Bapu and Ramana gave numerous hits and evergreen classics to Telugu cinema. The legend was awarded “Raja Lakshmi Literary Award” in the year 1955 by ‘Sri-Raja Lakshmi Foundation, Chennai.
We express our grief on the demise of the great legend and wish to bind his memories in our hearts forever.
