Yamaha FZ1 in India: Yamaha Launches Street Rocket !!!!!!!!!!

Japanese launches the Yamaha FZ1 in India, Indiandrives takes a closer look to the ride.
Yamaha in past years is offering India with smaller versions of some of its superbikes. We’ve got the YZF R15 which resembles to the YZF R1 and we also have the FZ16 which cues to FZ1. Yamaha FZ1 finally arrives in India and is considered to be Yamaha’s most affordable bike that is classified in liters.
Yamaha FZ1 is a super street naked bike that doest feels shy to showcase its body. The head lamp is edgy and similar to those found on the FZ16 wearing a crown like instrument panel. the instrument panel features similar type of curves that is found on its tank which is made out of two elements. Wide diameter inverted front forks, beefy tires, and black painted chassis and the engine all of them add muscle to overall presentation.
Yamaha FZ1 is a Street rocket on streets as its with the same engine design that is found on YZF-R1. Engine comprises of inline four cylinders each of the cylinder is serviced with 5 valves and gives out more power than the rider really needs.

For 2010 Yamaha improved the ECU for improved low and midrange performance, the outcome is a bike that generates 150 bhp when the engine spins at 11000rpm. With so much of power no wheels can catch the rear of the Yamaha FZ1 in India. All that power is taken to ground with beefy 190 rear tyre. That size tyre looks large but power from the engine is rubber shredder.
From still the FZ1 reaches the 100kmph mark in little over 3 seconds, this means the ride achieves that speed in similar time taken by a man to blink his eye thrice. With 150 horses on work Yamaha FZ1 achieves top speed of 250 kmph. To handle so much of power FZ1 has dual 320mm discs in the front and rear receives single 245mm disc.
Yamaha in International market offers the FZ1 with optional ABS package. The ride looks huge but has employed some of the lightest materials. Diamond frame is made out of aluminum which gives the bike compact dimensions. FZ1 also proves it’s riding abilities with short exhaust and long twin swing arms works to keep overall mass centralized. FZ weighs a little more than 200kg.
Since the ride is a street bike, the riding position is not as serous as found on sport bikes. The front wide diameter 130mm travel telescoping shocks gives firm and comfortable ride making it suitable for everyday riding.

Yamaha FZ1 price in India

It’s said to be the affordable in the liter lineup priced at Rs 9.66 lakh, OTR, Delhi.

The Insight

The Yamaha FZ1 will share its market place with other imports. FZ1 receives competition from Honda CB1000R, a one liter street bike from Honda. When we see the pricing, buyers will get accounts for every rupee they’ve paid. Ride position is upright, FZ1 suits well for both touring and city.
