Samsung has officially announced in a press release that it will be showcasing the new next generation
AMOLED displays in
Consumer Electronics Show 2011 to be held next week in
Las Vegas. The next generation AMOLED displays will be used in all types of devices including televisions, tablets and
Smartphones. These new displays will be made from high quality plastic and according to
Samsung, the flexible AMOLED display for mobile phones will be of
4.5 inches having a
resolution of 800×480 pixels and will be just
2mm thick. Chances are that the new
Samsung Galaxy line up will be featuring these displays.
Next is the larger transparent
AMOLED display for televisions and tablets, which is going to be of
19 inchhaving a
qFHD (quad Full High Definition) resolution. According to
Samsung, it will be capable of providing four times the resolution of
1080p.
