HSLC, HSSLC results declared !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dimapur, April 29 (MExN): The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSC) has declared the results for High School Leaving Certificate Examinations (HSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examinations (HSSLC) for 2011 with the results yet again testifying to the unfortunate state of government schools in Nagaland.
In the 2011 results of both the editions too, private institutions ranked far from the government-run ones. In the HSLC Top-50, no government school was in sight. However, in the HSSLC Top-10, Government Hr. Sec. School, Dimapur (Arts), Mayangnokcha GHSS of Mokokchung (Commerce) and Kohima Science College (Science) saved the government’s face. 



In HSLC, Yimkum I Ozukum of St.Mary’s Hr.Sec.School, Padampukhuri, Dimapur routed the Top-50 competition with a colossal 94.83%. In addition, Heihying Konyak of St. Mary’s School was Mon district’s entry in the Top-50, ranking at 47 with 86.33%. 23, 470 students were enrolled out of which 20023 were enrolled for the examinations. Out of 20023, a total of 12, 125 students passed, marking a percentage of 60.56, according to the NBSE.
Dimapur has routed eternal rival Kohima in the top rankings in HSLC and HSLC (all streams). In HSLC, Yimkum I Ozukum of St.Mary’s Hr.Sec.School, Padampukhuri (Dimapur) secured total marks of 569 with 94.83% top the HSCL. Satish Jumar Agarwal of SD Jain Hr.Sec.School, Dimapur secured 567 with 94.50% for the second rank while Harsh Kumar Jha of Ministers’ Hill Baptist HSS Kohima made the third rank on the Top-50 with total marks of 563 with 93.83%.
In the HSSLC Arts examinations, 9, 064 were enrolled out of which only 7, 478 appeared and 5,108 passed, marking 68.31% pass percentage. In Commerce stream, 1, 198 enrolled out of which 1, 093 sat the examinations and 797 students passed, marking 72.92%. In Science stream, 2081 enrolled and  1920 students appeared for the examinations out of which 1597 passed, marking a pace percentage of 83.18.
In HSSLC (Arts), Bendangrenla S Longkumer of Patkai Hr.Sec.School, Chumukedima (Dimapur) topped the rankings with 83.00% followed closely by Kuku Lungalang of Northfield, Khikha with 82.50%.  Athungbeni Ngullie of Mezhür Hr.Sec.School, Kohima secured 78.83% to land the third rank in the Arts top-10.
In HSSLC (Commerce), Chonbeni Oren Patton of Christian Hr.Sec.School, Dimapur secured 84.50% to seize be the topper. Chingkhiungam A Gonmei of Christian Hr.Sec.School, Dimapur secured a close 83.83% for the second spot while Ritu Prana Roy of Pranab Vidyapith HSS, Dimapur made the third rank with 79.66%.
In HSSLC (Science), Rohit Pathak of Pranab Vidyapith HSS, Dimapur secured 88.50% to take the top spot while Sujit Jumar Deb of Pranab Vidyapith HSS, also of Dimapur made 85.00% for the second rank. Abhilasha Jha of Kohima Science College of Jotsoma, Kohima made the third spot, in the science top-10 with 84.66%.
