New Tata Nano

Tata doubles warranty period for Nano to 4 yrs

Mumbai: To revive sagging consumer confidence in the world’s cheapest car Nano, Tata Motors, India’s biggest auto maker, is working with banks to provide attractive finance packages, while more than doubling the period of warranty on the car.

The company with annual sales of more than Rs 92,500 crore, Thursday said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Tata Motors Finance, a non-banking finance company (NBFC), will provide 90 per cent loan on the ex-showroom value of the car at an interest rate lower than those charged on two-wheelers.

The Largest Ship In The World-Allure Of The Seas

At a length of 361 meters, the Allure of the Seas is almost four American football fields long. It has a beam that is 66 meters long and its height from sea level 72 meters. The gross weight of the vessel will be 225,000 tons. At full capacity, the Allure of the Seas will accommodate 6,320 passengers and a crew of 2,100. It will have 16 passenger decks and 2,704 cabins. The brand new sister ship of the world’s largest cruise liner narrowly passed under a Danish bridge Saturday, a feat that required smooth seas and adjustable smokestacks, officials said. Ship  measures around four football fields and accommodates 8,300 people, including crew members. The cruise liner measures 1,200 feet from bow to stern, and its height from sea level is 236 feet. Aside from a two-deck high dance hall, a 1,380-seat theater and an ice skating rink, a number of pools, spas, gyms, it also houses bars, restaurants and cafes as well as a shopping street with a park with trees.

world’s shortest man is dead!

The world’s shortest man, He Ping Ping has passed away in Italy. This was an unexpected death for the family and they were shocked as Ping Ping didn’t show any sign of bad health.

“We just did not expect this bad news,” his sister He Lihua told AFP over the phone from Baotou, a city in the northern region of Inner Mongolia where he lived. “Pingping went to Italy… and he called us every day saying he wasn’t eating well and that he missed us.”

Mahatma Gandhi needs no long introduction. Everyone knows about the man who lead the Indian people to independence from British rule in 1947.

So let’s just move on to some of my favourite tips from Mahatma Gandhi.

1. Change yourself.

“You must be the change you want to see in the world.”

“As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world – that is the myth of the atomic age – as in being able to remake ourselves.”

If you change yourself you will change your world. If you change how you think then you will change how you feel and what actions you take. And so the world around you will change. Not only because you are now viewing your environment through new lenses of thoughts and emotions but also because the change within can allow you to take action in ways you wouldn’t have – or maybe even have thought about – while stuck in your old thought patterns.
