Nintendo 3DS
After trampling its competitors in the handheld console market with the original Nintendo DS and subsequent DS Lite, DSi and DSi XL, Nintendo turned to three dimensions with the 3DS. It features a glasses-free stereoscopic 800 x 240 pixel 3D display on top, and a LCD touch screen on bottom, which is used mostly for menus. Built-in motion and gyro sensors allow the 3DS to react to motion and tilting. Other notable features of the 3DS include a 3D camera, analog control, and backwards compatibility with almost all existing DS and DSi games. The 3DS will go on sale March 27th for $249.99.
