LG 3D Tablet Release !!!!!!!!!!

Here is some great news surrounding LG’s new Optimus Pad (which has not been launched globally yet), according to an LG Senior Executive, India could be receiving the 3D tablet in June.
The Optimus Pad is believed to be priced around the Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000 mark. However, LG Electronics business head for mobile communications, Vishal Chopra, has indicated that dependant on import duties and currency valuations the price could be less than Rs 30,000 at time of launch and that around the end of May, he will be in a better position to clarify the price.
Please note that because of price sensitivity in India the iPad has dropped in price from around Rs 28,000 in January to Rs 27,390 in April and Samsung had to bring the price of their Galaxy Tab down to Rs 29,299 from Rs 38,000. Therefore, this could have a bearing on Optimus Pad’s price when it is released in India.

Gaming tops tablet activity, says Google study!!!!!!!!!

Apple-iPad-2-gaming
A Google AdMob study of tablet usage has found that playing games is more popular than any other activity.
A new survey by Google AdMob has found that tablet owners primarily use their touchscreen devices for playing games, the Guardian reports. Other popular uses include emailing, social networking and consuming media like videos, music and e-books.
Out of the 1,430 tablet owners interviewed, 84 percent used the device for playing games. “Searching for information” came in as the second most-popular activity at 78 percent, followed by emailing (74 percent), reading the news (61 percent) and using social networks (56 percent). Only 51 percent use their tablets for watching videos or reading music, the study found. And Reading e-books was only popular among 46 percent of those interviewed

Atari launches greatest hits collection for iOS!!!!!!!!!

Atari has mined 100 titles from its archives and has served them up in a tidy Greatest Hits collection available in Apple's App Store.
Atari iOS App
Atari has dusted off 100 of its classic titles and released them in Apple’s App Store as a Greatest Hits collection app. The app is free to download and includes a complimentary copy of Pong. The 99 additional games, however, must be purchased as part of an in-app payment system.
The collection includes 18 titles from Atari arcades as well as 92 Atari 2600 titles (there’s some overlap in titles covered by the two gaming systems). Games are sold in packs of three or four for $0.99 or users can opt to purchase the entire collection for $14.99. Some of the games include BlueTooth support to enable multiplayer modes.
Gamers old enough to feel nostalgic for Atari can look forward to a healthy collection of titles ported on to their iPhones or iPads. Highlights includeMissile CommandSpace RaidersSuper Breakout, and Centipede 2600. Some retro-game enthusiasts will be disappointed to find some notable absences, namely Pitfall and Pac-Man. Atari also made sure to include multiple versions of some titles,  to be sure and satisfy the Atari-connoisseur.
It’s not Atari’s first venture into the iOS. The former gaming powerhouse has released updated versions ofCentipede, Missile Command and Super Breakout as individual apps. Retro-gaming has become something of a fad in Apple’s App Store. Last year, a developer released an MS DOS emulator that included versions of Wolfenstein 3DDuke Nukem and Major Stryker. There’s also a Commodore 64 emulator that includes the titles International KarateSuper Pipeline and Space Taxi.
