IIFA Awards 2012!

The now traditional end of the Awards season is... IIFA! A weekend of blowharding, gladhanding, and fabulous gowns!
The winners mostly line up with the other awards from earlier in the year and I only take exception with one award...

Best Film: Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Best Director: Zoya Akhtar for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Best Actor: Ranbir Kapoor for Rockstar

Best Actress: Vidya Balan for The Dirty Picture

Best Supporting Actor: Farhan Akhtar for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Best Supporting Actress: Parineeti Chopra for Ladies V/s Ricky Bahl

Best Comedian: Ritesh Deshmukh for Double Dhamaal [Right here. You guys know I love Ritesh but this was obviously a sob to the former IIFA host. This should have gone to Pito. Besides, if ANYBODY from Double Dhamaal should be getting an award, it's Javed Jaffrey.]

Best Villain: Prakash Raj for Singham

Best Debut (Male): Vidyut Jamwal for Force

Best Debut (Female): Parineeti Chopra for Ladies V/s Ricky Bahl

Best Playback Singer (Female): Shreya Ghosal ("Teri Meri" from Bodyguard)

Best Playback Singer (Male): Mohit Chauhan ("Nadaan Parinde" from Rockstar)

Best Lyrics: Irshad Kamil ("Nadaan Parindey" from Rockstar)

Best Music : A.R. Rahman for Rockstar

Hottest Pair: Ranbir Kapoor & Nargis Fakhri for Rockstar [Also, this is beyond bogus, since the general consensus is that Nargis was awful in the film so how could she be part of a "hottest pair"? I wonder if this was supposed to go to SRK and PC but then SRK didn't show up...]
