Previously at the launch event of Windows Phone 7 , Microsoft said that WP7 devices will get Copy and Pastefunctionality. Today Microsoft has announced that it’s just a matter of weeks when software update for copy and paste on its Windows Phone 7 devices will be made available. This statement clearly tells that software update won’t be going further then early 2011.
Here is what Arpan Shah, Director of Microsoft Project said in reply to critics of Windows Phone 7:
Critics have commented on the lack of specific features like copy & paste and lack of 100s of thousands of applications. And while both are true, copy & paste will be available as an update in a matter of weeks (early 2011) and as for applications, it’s just a matter of time.
Microsoft has planned to deliver small updates through over-the-air and the big ones through the Zune sync client. So take a deep breath and hold on until early 2011, meanwhile keep a check over here for if any news comes up we’ll post it right here.
